Reincarnation was made approximately one year into the Covid-19 pandemic. It is representative of death and rebirth, but is also a visualization of the responsibility that each individual has to the health and well-being of others within the society in which we live. What we do as individuals matters. How we speak, act and communicate matters. Every ripple travels ... to our family, community, country, continent and to the world as a whole.
Trinley Dorje is a Toronto based, multi-media artist. Her artworks are visual anthropological explorations of the human experience which are inspired by her previous education in anthropology and her current career in healthcare.
She has been internationally exhibited widely throughout North America and Europe. She has been featured on CBC Arts: Exhibitionist TV Series and has been published in magazines, medical journals and on book covers.
Her artworks are included in the permanent collections of Toronto General Hospital, The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and The Rotunda Hospital in Dublin, Ireland and she was recently exhibited at Art Basel Miami.
